The facility will have a building that accommodates up to 300 children. Each room will accommodate up to 10 children, large enough to maneuver wheel chairs. There will be a total of 38 rooms of which 30 rooms will be used by children with disabilities and 8 rooms will accommodate visiting volunteers.
The administrative team will be limited to around seven members, which will include a local Director, a Human Resource Manager, Accountant, a Purchasing Manager, and assistants. In addition, there will be nurses/caregivers, cooks and farm workers. For every 50 children, there will be 5 nurses / caregivers each working 8-hour shifts. For a total of 300 children, that equates to 30 nurses/caregivers per shift, amounting to 90 across three shifts.
The kitchen will be equipped to feed up to 300 children, 3 meals a day. That equates to 900 meals per day.
There will be a doctor on the premises at all times for dispensing medicine and to provide any required medical treatment.
This area will focus on therapy that will help functionality and mobility. There will be professional therapists and the center will be open for 8 hours everyday.
A school will be established to provide education to each child’s abilities. It is hoped that this initiative will empower the children to eventually live independently.
The playground will be quite extensive equipped to stimulate the mind and create excitement in the daily lives of the children. catering to every child’s unique gifts. Activities will include music therapy, painting, yoga, swimming, table tennis, pickle ball, enjoyable fun rides, movie theater and other joys that speak to the children.
About 50 percent of the land will be used for growing crops to feed up to 300 children as part of sustaining the operation. Included among the crops, will be 50 milk giving cows and 3,000 egg laying hens. The land will be used to grow crops organically, based on nutritional value to feed all the children at Humanity Homes. The goal is to produce enough crops to provide 900 meals each day. All other additional food required will be purchased from reputable wholesale vendors.
This area will be large enough for parents and relatives to visit on weekends between 9:00am to 5:00pm.
All guardians of children accepted into Humanity Homes must sign a liability waiver. All employees working for Humanity Homes will also have to sign Waivers as permissible by local laws.
